Can an error reveal an unplanned solution?

In 2023, I created a series of pieced relief prints. It was not intended as a series. In fact it happened by accident.  Each of 4 pieces was to be positioned rotated 90 degrees relative to the first piece; then glued down. An unplanned design revealed itself after gluing 1 piece in an incorrect orientation. I discovered 3 possible designs from that error.
