Tired of looking at yourself on Zoom? Or FaceTime? Or Teams? ME TOO!!! So tired! Tired of relating to friends like I live on the set of Hollywood Squares. Do what I did. Make a Self portrait. Here's mine - a woodblock print. And here are some artist self-portraits to get you started.
I make lots of trips to Oklahoma City. Most of my extended family lives there! My mom is there, and I'm going soon. Sometimes I capture a photo as I wind my way up Interstate 35. (Only if there is no traffic pressing down on me.) On this day, it was raining. Raindrops hit the car window and were dragged backwards by the forward motion of the car. It was misty and the rain made everything soft and smudgy. I couldn't wait to put it down on paper. See more drawings from the Road to Okie City.
This is the companion piece to Evidence of Life: Baby Keys, which I posted November 7, 2019 At the time I was kind of infatuated with the warm earthiness of Raw Umber. The size is 12 X 12". Relief Prints.
